How long have you worked for AstraZeneca? What do you enjoy about your role?

“I’ve worked at AstraZeneca for one year. I’m given the opportunity to rotate in different areas, which allows me to explore different roles and develop transferable skills and meet people.”

Why did you choose to do an apprenticeship at AstraZeneca?

“It gave me the opportunity to enhance my career options by both completing a degree gaining work experience. This was the best option for me to challenge myself and fantastic for professional development.”

How would you describe the culture at AstraZeneca?

“Our culture encourages collaboration and opportunity to work with others. This makes the working environment incredibly open to ideas, ensuring that your opinions are valued and encouraged. I feel like a trusted member of staff, able to take on and deliver projects while fully supported.”

What would you say has been the most interesting/rewarding project you have been involved in and why?

“I was able to lead an automated testing project. This entailed building automated tests encompassing everything built on our internal platform to allow for quicker regression testing. I was able to be one of the first to use the technology and learn how to develop it. This gave me opportunities to teach others and lead the project through to implementation, allowing me to present our progress and facilitate its use for all users once complete.”
