Sporting Futures Training

A very sporting chance

Following her previous experience, Lauren Ellis-Hall has begun an Advanced Apprenticeship with Sporting Futures Training

Has the course been as you expected?

The course has been more than expected so far. I have learnt a lot already from this course and it has been great to be involved with the community events as well as working in my school.

What’s your typical day like?

Every day I provide the children with breakfast at breakfast club. I then work in the early years classroom each morning and two afternoons. Another two afternoons are spent with the year 3 and 4 children while they participate in PE lessons and swimming.

I run the school netball club on a Thursday and after-school club on a Wednesday. I work alongside the PE teacher. On a Friday I have time to catch up with the PE coursework set and other tasks that need to be done, such as responding to e-mails and other things relating to PE.

What do you plan to do after this apprenticeship?

After this apprenticeship I hope to go to university and qualify to be a teacher working in PE or early years.
