The solicitor is a time-honoured and respected profession that is integral to modern business, access to justice and resolution of contentious and non-contentious matters. From advising on property purchases to representing personal injury claimants in their pursuit of compensation from their insurer, you’ll be able to apply legal knowledge and expertise to get the right result for your client. Upon completion, you’ll be able to act ethically, with professionalism and judgement; progress legal matters and transactions; apply legal knowledge and commercial judgement to produce solutions that meet clients’ needs and address their commercial or personal circumstances; deploy the full range of legal skills; and manage yourself and your own work effectively. Completion of this apprenticeship will satisfy the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s regulatory framework for qualification as a solicitor, although this is subject to its usual tests of character and suitability.

Duration: 60 months

Relevant school subjects: Business studies and ICT

Entry requirements: Five GCSEs at grade C or above, including maths and English, and three A-levels at grade C or above; and/or relevant employer-led work experience, or a level 3 advanced or level 4 higher apprenticeship in a relevant occupation

Achievement upon completion: Level 7 (Higher)—equivalent to a foundation degree and above

Potential salary upon completion: £50,000 per annum
