Northbrook College, Sussex, is a large General Further Education College based in Worthing, West Sussex, and offers courses from Basic Skills to Postgraduate qualifications.
The Apprenticeships offered at Northbrook have grown from only seven Apprenticeship framework areas 5 years ago to 45 Apprenticeship framework areas in 2011/12. Numbers of apprentices have also grown over the same period from 168 in learning to more than 1300 in 2011/12. The growth in learner numbers has not been at the expense of Apprenticeship achievement as success rates for apprentices at Northbrook College are now among the very highest in England with the Apprenticeship Success rates being 19% above the national benchmark
