Project management apprenticeship

Project management apprenticeship

Successful project delivery is at the heart of many businesses and organisations and the project management apprenticeship is a great way to gain work experience and get your foot on the ladder.

Everything with a defined start, end and purpose – from a high-profile sporting event to organising a party – can be considered a project.

It is the role of project managers to plan, execute and close any project. The best project managers are organised, disciplined and team players. They know how to motivate a team and deliver to expectations. They have excellent communication, organisational and influencing skills.

As a Project Management apprentice, your role may vary depending on the role and sector in which you are employed. You may be involved in problem-solving, allocating resources, assigning tasks, forecasting future trends or analysing and designing objectives and events.

The Higher Apprenticeship covers schedule management, financial management, risk management, quality management, principles and challenges of project management, scope management, contract management and much more. This apprenticeship will equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to have a long career in project management and has been designed to support those who want to enter the field as well as those working as project managers, directors and support officers.

On completion of this apprenticeship, you will have gained significant experience and knowledge and will be able to work towards full membership of the Association of Project Management.
