Payroll administrator

Payroll administrator

“Setting up and operating the payroll within the organisation in which you’re employed or on behalf of another organisation”

In medium and large organisations, as a payroll administrator, you may work as part of a team, often reporting to a team leader, supervisor or manager. In smaller organisations, you may also have responsibility for the accurate and timely completion of routine and non-routine payroll-related calculations and other information. The main duties for which you’ll be trained include gathering, creating and processing related information to ensure employees are paid on time and accurately. This work will be carried out via software, though its use must be accompanied by the ability to perform the work manually. You’ll also learn how to comply with legislative and contractual obligations, and carry out internal and and external reporting of information to different and sometimes strict deadlines.
