New Apprenticeships With a Difference Offered Off Shore at Grimsby

DONG Energy to offer new offshore wind apprenticeships in Grimsby. DONG Energy has partnered with the Grimsby Institute to offer new offshore wind turbine technician apprenticeships. The new three-year apprenticeships will comprise of one year of classroom based learning at the Grimsby Institute followed by two years working on site with DONG Energy. The students will be taught in a new virtual training centre opened by the Grimsby Institute this year.

Auto Windscreens has announced plans to grow its apprenticeship scheme, ALEX (Apprenticeship Learning Experience), by welcoming 40 new starters before the end of 2017. The ALEX program, an apprenticeship initiative run by parent company Markerstudy Group of Companies, was introduced last year by Auto Windscreens and is tailored for young people who are keen to embark on a career in vehicle glass repair.
