Recent advances have led to the introduction of new technology, farming methods and legislation, resulting in changes to the practices and the skills required to keep agriculture at the forefront of the economy.
The Higher Apprenticeship in Agriculture provides the skills, knowledge and competence required to become a unit or assistant farm manager. The programme includes generic business skills and, depending on the type of farm you work on, you will also gain more specific higher level skills and knowledge relating to crops and livestock management.
You could find yourself working as a unit manager, assistant farm manager or farm manager.
By successfully completing a Higher Apprenticeship, you might be able to move on to a relevant degree programme.

Salary: From £20,000 to £25,000
