This Higher Apprenticeship has been developed to provide a career route into management, for those working within the hospitality sector.
Staff who have the opportunity to move into higher level jobs are likely to be more motivated and to remain within a business, which, in turn, can help the business to increase its productivity and remain profitable.
Apprentices train in a range of hospitality management job roles that support the day-to-day running of the business, such as deputy general manager, front office manager, operations or unit manager.
Your duties could include:
- improving food service
- monitoring day-to-day management
- assessing departments
- welcoming guests
- registering arrivals,
- taking bookings
- preparing bills and taking payments.
- liaising with the housekeeping department.
