Healthcare support services apprenticeship

The Healthcare support services apprenticeship aims to provide the skills and knowledge required to become competent in providing support services within the health sector.

Various roles exist and duties may include activities like cleaning, housekeeping, catering, porterage, administration, record keeping, security, parking, waste disposal, moving equipment and/or individuals, gardening, looking after buildings and machinery. These roles are central to the smooth running of healthcare services.

This apprenticeship includes qualifications at Levels 2 and 3. The duration for completion of an Intermediate apprenticeship is 12 months and of an Advanced apprenticeship is 18 months depending on age, prior experience and learning.

Starting salary:

£15,200– £19,600
