Health informatics apprenticeship

Health informatics is the collection, management, use and sharing of information to support the delivery of healthcare and to promote health.

The Health informatics apprenticeship aims to provide the skills and knowledge required to become competent in health informatics.

As an apprentice you will work in a health information assistant or assistant practitioner (informatics) role, where you will handle and input data as well as validating it and producing reports. You will be working with large amounts of information, some of which may be confidential, so you will need to be well-organised, conscientious and discreet.

This apprenticeship includes qualifications at Levels 2 and 3. The duration for completion of this apprenticeship is 12 months for the Intermediate apprenticeship and 18 months for the Advanced apprenticeship, depending on age, prior experience and learning.

£14,000–£17,000
