Skills for Security
Skills for Security encourages professionalism within the private security industry through the provision of quality training and qualification pathways, including apprenticeships. We contribute to the development of a highly skilled, professional workforce that plays a major role in maintaining the safety and security of the people, businesses and infrastructure of the UK.
Although some people working in the security industry are required to hold a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA), apprentices in the Security and Fire Systems trades are NOT within this group. Anyone starting an apprenticeship in Providing Security Services WILL, however, need a licence from the SIA.
