Digital learning design Higher Apprenticeship

The Higher Apprenticeship in Digital Learning Design provides the first dedicated training route for those working in more senior roles as instructional designers, e-learning programmers, learning technologists and virtual learning environment managers.

As a Higher apprentice, you will be leading the design elements of e-learning projects, providing expertise, overseeing projects and managing the content development process. This could mean you are specifying the structure, look and functionality of the digital content, while also providing solutions that meet your client’s objective, in terms of audience, content, available media, platform and budget. You may deliver training courses or monitor staff training needs to ensure that genuine changes in thinking and practice are taking place.

Clear communication, high standards of customer service, working as a team and problem-solving are all key in this industry.

In return, completion of the Higher Apprenticeship will furnish you with the skills needed to work in a profession that involves strategic and technical leadership, providing cutting-edge solutions from a design, development and delivery perspective.

If you wish to continue your professional development further, there may be opportunities to achieve a BA Honours degree in Design or other vocational qualifications related to the digital learning arena and creative industries.
