Credit controller or debt collection specialist

Credit controller or debt collection specialist

“A credit controller or debt collection specialist manages credit and collects monies owed for businesses and other organisations”

This advanced credit controller/debt collection specialist apprenticeship focuses on consumer and commercial credit management and collection of monies owed, offering you the opportunity to earn a qualification from either the Chartered Institute of Credit Management or the London Institute of Banking & Finance. In credit management, you’ll learn how to manage and protect cash flow, while, in debt collection, you’ll focus on overdue, late or unpaid money owed to the organisation. Fast-paced and target-driven, these roles require a detailed knowledge of law, regulations and the business environment, and you’ll develop excellent technical and interpersonal skills. These are rewarding career choices if you’re a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who would enjoy a varied role working at the centre of operations. As an apprentice, you’ll ultimately have to specialise in credit risk.
